When you click on the green ‘Send WhatsApp’ button, WhatsApp will open on your computer or mobile device. If you don’t have WhatsApp Web active on your computer, a window will open, showing you a QR code that you need to scan from the WhatsApp application on your phone under Settings (three dots in the upper right corner) -> Linked Devices.
